Sobre Mathilde
I am a 20 year old Business management student currently studying in Madrid. I have left behind my Bulgarian rescue dog in London while I study abroad. I love walking dogs and for me it is an important part of my day!! I would love to be able to continue doing so here in Madrid with your furry friend!!
I speak French and English fluently and am learning Spanish and German.
In London, I have looked after numerous dogs in the past 8-10 years.
I have had the opportunity to look after a guide-dog for two weeks with keeping her in my home and giving her daily walks whilst also ensuring she was consistent with her daily job as a guide dog. On top of this I have looked after elderly dogs. Her name was Mink, she was a very old Coker spaniel who I took into my home for a month whilst her owners were away. I took her on walks (but ensuring she was capable of going the full length), gave her her medicine and made sure she stuck to her strict diet and word calls. I have also worked with numerous other dogs in my free time, including puppies, a group of dogs at the same time and elderly dogs.
I am also mum to my Bulgarian rescue dog. I first got him when he was six months old. He is a dog who is very anxious, weary of his surrounding, apprehensive and can be distressed. As a puppy he was very playful however with humans was much less intrigued, he was frightened. Throughout the years he has become much more interested in what surrounds him, people, animals and he loves playing with babies! Casper (my dog), is allergic to grass so I ensure he takes his medicine when needed and is always in the best surroundings accommodated for his needs. Likewise, since he was a puppy, he has had a very sensitive stomach and so I ensure he has the best food that suits him at all times. I care for my dog a lot, and always ensure he has what is best for him, likewise for all the dogs I have taken care of. As a very motherly individual I have applied this to my dog but also all those around me!
In my free time I absolutely love walking and caring for dogs, they allow me to discover new places with them and care for them which I love doing. They make me very happy and their company always has a positive impact on my mood and wellbeing as an individual.
As a student I have a lot of free time, especially in the afternoons where I would be available to help with dog walking. However, I can be a little flexible if needed in the mornings and will try and make things work! I would be willing to dog walk any day of the week.
Here in Madrid, I have the Retiro nearby where I would walk your furry friend! There are many green spaces that I have found that would be dog friendly and have even spoken to dog owners here where the best areas of the park would be. The park is very spacious and is enclosed making it very safe for your dogs to play and walk around. I will be able to play and entertain your dog through toys such as balls and frisbees if they require and want to do so.
As of now I do not offer accommodation, however would be open to doing so in the future if anyone requires so. I live in a spacious apartment near Plaza Mayor and have a small outside area. I would be able to offer water and blankets for the dogs, however would require food and medication to be given with instructions and hours too.
